MANCHESTER, Conn. - After winning a hard-fought doubles point, UConn captured three singles points to edge the Boston University women's tennis team, 4-3, on Saturday afternoon at the Magic Lincer Tennis Academy.
With their second one-point loss of the season, the Terriers fall to 7-10, while the Huskies improve to 10-8 on their senior day.

- Freshman Emily Kim and senior Iryna Kostirko teamed for a 6-3 win at line 2 in doubles, but UConn cruised to a 6-1 win in the No. 1 slot and claimed a 6-3 victory at line 3 to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
- Freshman Lily Burchell rebounded from her No. 1 doubles loss with a dominating 6-3, 6-1 victory in the No. 4 slot.
- Burchell's doubles partner, junior Remi Ramos, also won in straight sets at line 2 against UConn, 7-5, 6-3.
- The Huskies though won in straight sets at No. 1 and 5 to maintain the lead.
- UConn's Cassie Chung held off junior Sophia Kryloff to clinch the team win at line 6 with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 victory.
- Kim followed up on her doubles win by rallying for a 6-7, 6-1, 7-5 victory for the final point of the day.
- The Terriers will remain in Connecticut and next face Memphis on Sunday (April 8) with a 10 a.m. start time.
