
McDonnell Named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week

CENTER VALLEY, Pa. – After recording both goals in a 2-1 victory at American, Boston University men's soccer senior Matt McDonnell has been named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday afternoon.
A native of Smithdown, New York, McDonnell was recognized by the PL for the third straight season with his fourth overall award. He first pounced on a loose ball in the 33rd minute to tie the Eagles and then scored the game winner off a pass from junior Toti Knutsson with a quick touch at the far post in the 67th minute.
McDonnell has tallied seven goals this season, including a PL-best five in conference action, and has posted 13 total over his last 17 appearances.
The Terriers will next host Harvard on Tuesday (Oct. 15) at 7 p.m. on NESNplus.
