Di Blasio and Petrica Named To Preseason All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Andrea Di Blasio and Pharis Petrica have been named to the Preseason All-Patriot League Team for the first time in their careers, as announced by the league on Thursday morning.
Overall, BU was picked to finish second in the Patriot League Men's Soccer Preseason Poll, earning 70 total points and one first place vote. The second place ranking comes after a season where the Terriers reached their fourth straight Patriot League semifinal.
Di Blasio's other preseason accolades include being named to the United Soccer Coaches DI Men's Forwards to Watch List following an outstanding 2025 season, where he finished second on the team in goals (5) and third in points (11) to earn USC All-Atlantic Region Third Team and Second Team All-Patriot League honors.
Last season, Petrica started eight of 17 games played, recording a team-high seven assists and finishing second on the team in points with 13. The junior midfielder, who earned his first career All-Patriot League honor with the preseason nod, recorded three point performances in wins against then-No. 23 Bucknell, Charleston and Loyola Maryland.
The Terriers will open its 2026 campaign in the Sunshine State on Thursday, Aug. 20 at 6 p.m. when facing UCF for just the second time in program history.
