MIAMI, Fla. – Featuring two nationally-ranked singles players, No. 36 Miami defeated the Boston University men's tennis team, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Hurricanes (11-4) won two doubles matches by a combined score of 12-6 and then captured four singles points in straight sets against the Terriers (4-10).

- Miami posted an identical 6-3 score at lines 2 and 3 in doubles to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
- No. 19 Adria Soriano Barrera led the Hurricanes with a 6-3, 6-2 victory in the top singles slot against reigning Patriot League Player of the Week Owen Lu.
- Both sophomore David Bogatin (#2) and freshman Max Stehling (#4) came up just short in the first set of their respective match by a break before the Hurricanes finished them off with identical 6-1, 6-1 scores.
- Miami added one more point with a 6-3, 6-3 win at line 5 singles.
- Sophomore Pedro Gutierrez won the first set tiebreaker and was early in the second with a 7-6(4), 1-3 lead when his match was halted.
- Sophomore Pete Siozios was in a tough 4-6, 3-4 match against No. 71 Bogan Jankulovski when their match was halted as well.
- The Terriers will next face the Blazers in Boca Raton, Florida, on Thursday.
- UAB is on a three-match win streak and currently stands at 7-5.
