HARRISON, N.Y. – Despite winning the doubles point and the top singles match, the Boston University men's tennis team came up just short at Fordham, 4-3, on Saturday evening.
The Rams (8-4) captured four singles points, including three in straights, to overcome a 3-0 deficit and hand the Terriers (4-8) a one-point defeat.

- Sophomore Ethan Kolsky and freshman Max Stehling teamed for a 6-2 win in the No. 3 slot, while sophomores Owen Lu and David Bogatin posted a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles for the 1-0 advantage.
- Lu carried momentum from doubles to a dominating 6-4, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles.
- Sophomore Pedro Gutierrez added the third point by also dropping just four games for a 6-1, 6-3 victory in the No. 6 slot.
- Fordham began its comeback by winning the first set and then a second-set tiebreaker at lines 2, 4 and 6.
- Sophomore Pete Siozios rallied to force a third set but was broken late for a 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 loss.
- The Terriers will visit Yale on Sunday (March 10) with a 4 p.m. start time.
- BU is 0-2 this season against the Ivy League with losses to No. 28 Dartmouth and Harvard by a combined score of 12-1.
