Men's Tennis Drops 4-1 Decision at Army West Point

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Continuing Patriot League play on the road, the Boston University men's tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision at Army West Point on Friday afternoon.
The 2018 PL tournament runner-up Black Knights (11-12, 5-0 PL) won two doubles matches and three singles points in straight sets to remain perfect in conference play, as the Terriers (7-13) moved to .500 in the conference standings at 2-2.

- After posting a 6-2 win at line 1 doubles, Army edged freshman Max Hartenstein and junior J.P. Avila, 7-5, to jump out to a 1-0 lead.
- The Black Knights added to the lead with identical 6-2, 6-2 singles decisions in the No. 1 and 5 slots.
- Sophomore Pete Siozios put BU on the scoreboard with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at line 3.
- Army prevented a Terrier rally by clinching the team victoy with a 6-3, 6-3 win at line 6.
- BU will remain in West Point and face Lehigh on Saturday (April 6) at 12 p.m.
- The Terriers eliminated the Mountain Hawks, 4-1, during the PL quarterfinals after losing by the same score during the regular season.
