Terriers Win Gold at IC4A/ECACs

RESULTS
PRINCETON, N.J. - Highlighted by a gold medal victory in the men's 4x800 meter relay, the Boston University men's and women's track & field teams concluded their outdoor season at the ECAC/IC4A Championships on Saturday and Sunday at Princeton's Weaver Stadium.
On the men's side, the 4x800m relay of Marcel Aubry, Michael Huber, Johnathon Kemps and Paul Luevano finished their season on a high note, finishing first with a time of 7:37.59 to win gold.
On the women's side, Greer Liguori won silver in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:01.08, a new personal best.
Andrea Claeson closed out her terrific freshman year by finishing eighth in the 1500m run with a time of 4:26.89. Claeson's time was a personal best and also qualifies the Lulea, Sweden native for the European U23 championships this summer.
The top eight men's performers in each event this weekend were named All-East and the top eight for the women earned All-ECAC honors.

TOP FINISHES MEN IC4A
• The 4x800m relay of Marcel Aubry, Michael Huber, Johnathon Kemps and Paul Luevano finished their season on a high note, finishing first with a time of 7:37.59 to win gold.
• Alexander Seal competed in the 3,000m steeplechase and finished seventh with a time of 9:07.59. Seal already has qualified for NCAA regionals with his time of 8:58.77 which he ran at the Larry Ellis Princeton Invite back on April 20.
• Gregory Pelose also competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and finished with a time of 9:15.83 and in 12th place.
• Zachary Prescott competed in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and finished with a time of 9:16.13 and in 13th place.
• Brett Davidson competed in the 10,000m and finished fifth with a time of 30:19.48.
• Ebruba Etta competed in the 100m dash trials and finished 14th with a time of 10.93 and in did not advance to the finals.
• In the field, Declan Ritzenthaler competed in the pole vault and finished eighth with a vault of 4.86m (15-11.25).
• Clint Lockwood competed in the shot put and finished 16th with a throw of 14.97m (49-1.50).

LUEVANO, SEAL QUALIFY FOR NCAA REGIONALS
This weekend was the last opportunity for student-athletes to qualify for the NCAA Regionals with the top 48 performances in each event qualifying. Any student-athletes who qualified will continue their season at the NCAA East Regionals in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 23-25. Alexander Seal qualified in the 3,000m steeplechase with a time of 8:58.77 which he ran at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invite on April 20th. Paul Luevano qualified in the 1500m with a time of 3:45.26 which he ran at the Virginia Grand Prix on April 26.
