Terriers to Compete at IC4A/ECAC Championships Saturday & Sunday

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Boston University men's and women's track & field teams will continue their outdoor season by competing in the IC4A/ECAC Championships this weekend at Princeton's Weaver Stadium.
This weekend will be the last opportunity for student-athletes to qualify for the NCAA Regionals with the top 48 performances in each event throughout the season qualifying. Student-athletes who qualify will continue their season at the NCAA East Regionals which take place in Jacksonville, Fla. on May 23-25.
The IC4A/ECAC competition begins on Saturday with men's and women's field events at 10 a.m. The first track event will be the 4x100m relay at 2:20 p.m. On Sunday, action will begin with the shot put at 9:30 a.m. and will conclude with the 4x400 finals at 3:15 p.m.
BU will send out a total of 16 student-athletes from the men's and women's teams.
WOMEN
On the women's side, Greer Liguori will compete in the 400m hurdles. Liguori will look to improve on her best time in the event of 1:01.37 which is just off the NCAA regional qualifying time of 1:00.18.
In addition, Bridget Chiaravalle will compete in the 100m hurdles and Andrea Claeson will compete in the 1500m hoping to qualify for NCAA regionals.
MEN
On the men's side, Johnathon Kemps will be one of 13 members from the men's team to compete over the weekend. Kemps will compete in the 1500m run hoping to beat his personal best time of 3:38.56 and come in under the current qualifying time of 3:45.80.
Alexander Seal will compete in the 3,000m steeplechase. Entering the weekend, Seal would already qualify for the NCAAs Regionals in the 3,000m steeplechase with his time of 8:58.77 which he ran at the Larry Ellis Princeton Invite on April 20.
Paul Luevano will compete in the 4x800m relay with Marcel Aubry, Johnathon Kemps and Haig Rickerby. Luevano currently would qualify for NCAA regionals in the 1500m as he has the 38th best 1500m time in the East with the 3:45.26 which he ran at the Virginia Grand Prix on April 26.
NEW ENGLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS
In addition to the IC4A/ECACs, Zoe Beard from the women's team will compete in the pole vault at the New England Championships hosted by So. Connecticut State University. The Pole vault is scheduled for 3 p.m. on Saturday.
