Men's Tennis Claims 5-2 Win at Merrimack

HAVERHILL, Mass. – Continuing a four-match road trip, the Boston University men's tennis team claimed a 5-2 win at Merrimack.
The Terriers (2-1) won two of the three doubles matches for the first point and then claimed four singles points in straight sets to drop the Warriors to 1-2.

- All three doubles matches featured an identical score of 6-3 with juniors Owen Lu and David Bogatin triumphing in the top slot.
- Senior Marc Sable and freshman Jon-Kyle Tan were also successful at line 3 for the 1-0 advantage.
- Merrimack avoided the sweep by edging sophomore Max Hartenstein and freshman Kirill Belov in the No. 2 match.
- Junior Pedro Gutierrez dropped the fewest games in singles for the Terriers with a dominating 6-2, 6-2 win at line 5.
- Hartenstein posted a 6-4, 6-3 victory in the No. 3 slot with Lu posting a 6-4, 7-5 win at line 2.
- Bogatin won a pair of tiebreakers in the top match for the 7-6, 7-6 victory.
- The Warriors earned two points with straight-set wins at line 4 against Sable (6-2, 6-3) and at line 6 against Tan (6-2, 6-2).
- BU will next visit the Big Green on Saturday with an 11 a.m. start time.
- Fans will be able to watch the action on ESPN3.
- Dartmouth won last year's meeting at home, 6-1.
