Women’s Swimming & Diving Closes First Half with 190-74 Win over Holy Cross

BOSTON - The Boston University women's swimming & diving team defeated Holy Cross, 190-74, in the team's first-half finale on Saturday afternoon at FitRec Competition Pool.

Freshman Haley Newman had the top time in three events (100 IM, 100 freestyle, 50 butterfly) while sophomore Sasha Ramey claimed wins in the 200-yard butterfly and the 200-yard IM. Junior Sumi Cameron swept the diving events with scores of 289.80 (1-meter) and 312.37 (3-meter).
  
Freshman Stella Langenbach won the 200-yard freestyle in a time of 1:55.82 while junior Lara Mitchell (26.85) and junior Clarissa Hoyt (30.51) won the 50-yard freestyle and breaststroke, respectively. Sophomore Fia McCarty touched the wall first in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:25.53) and classmate Keilah Eckhart took first in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 5:17.59 while junior Sydney Sorbello had a first-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle (24.52).

BU improves to 3-2 overall and 1-2 in Patriot League competition.
