Terriers Set School Record in Women's Distance Medley Relay

NEW YORK - A 27-year-old school record in the women's distance medley was topped on Friday evening at the Columbia Challenge as senior Meghan Convery, sophomore Isabela Shepard, graduate student Madeline Bachmann and senior Andrea Claeson turned in a time of 11:16.28.
The impressive time trimmed 13 seconds off the previous record of 11:29.3, set in 1995 by Kathryn Hitchcock, Antje Siems, Katie Lynch and BU Hall of Famer Christine Stief.
Convery kicked it off with a 3:26.85 1200-meter split before Shepard ran the 400 in 57.75. Bachmann turned in a time of 2:12.19 in the 800 to set up Claeson's finishing touches on the record run with a 4:39.47 in the 1600.
