
Men's Tennis Drops 5-2 Decision to Siena

HAVERHILL, Mass. – The Boston University men's tennis team concluded its first weekend of dual season play with a 5-2 loss to Siena at the Cedardale Health and Fitness Club on Sunday afternoon.
The Saints (3-3) won two of three doubles matches for the first point and then captured four singles points to defeat the Terriers (0-2), who featured straight-set singles victories by sophomores Jonah Dickson and Ben Letzer.
Sophomore Johann Sajonz and freshman Adrian Pawlowski opened doubles with a 6-4 win in the top slot, but Siena posted a 6-2 win at line 3 and a 6-4 victory at line 2 for the 1-0 lead.
After dropping just two games on Saturday to Merrimack in singles, DIckson moved up a spot to No. 3 singles and claimed a 6-3, 6-4 win. Letzer also went 2-0 for the weekend with a 6-3, 6-2 victory at line 5.
Freshman Adrian Pawlowski won his first set as well, but Siena rallied at line 6 for the 1-6, 6-2, 6-0 win. Siena prevailed in straight sets at lines 1, 2 and 4.
The Terriers will next make the short trek to MIT on Friday (Feb. 11) for a 4 p.m. start.
