Terriers Head to Annapolis in Search of Patriot League Golf Title

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Boston University women's golf team will begin its quest for a Patriot League title when the conference tournament kicks off on Friday (April 15) at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
The three-round tournament at the par-72 course will take place Friday through Sunday. Navy is the defending champion.
The Terriers are the top-ranked team in the Patriot League entering the weekend, coming in at 102 in the most recent GolfStat rankings. Richmond is 153 and Navy comes in at175. BU is also third among the 11 New England teams.
BU has won a pair of Patriot League titles with the most recent one coming in 2019 when it posted a tournament-record 903.
The top two scoring averages among Patriot League players this season belong to Terriers as sophomore Flair Kuan is first at 73.38 and senior Hanako Kawasaki is second at 73.73. Freshman Christy Chen, the reigning Patriot League Golfer of the Week, has been playing well as of late and her scoring average of 76.12 is tops among PL freshmen.
Juniors Alice Fan (78.04) and Kristen Min Ju Kim (79.69) and freshman Victoria Takai (78.57) round out the Terrier lineup.
All six golfers will compete in the tournament and the top four scores each day will count towards the team total.
The Patriot League champion will receive the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals. The individual medalist will also receive a bid to the NCAA Women's Golf Regionals if they are not on the championship team. NCAA Regionals will be held from May 9-11 at six regional sites around the country. The 2022 NCAA DI Women's Golf Selection Show will be on Golf Channel on April 27 at 5 p.m. ET.
The Terriers will tee off at 9:30 a.m. on Friday.
