BOSTON – To complete its four-game road swing, the Boston University women's soccer program it heads to Colgate on Wednesday (Sept. 21) in search of its second Patriot League win. Due to expected inclement weather in the forecast, opening kick has been moved up to 4:30 p.m.
The Terriers vie for a 2-0 league start for the first time since 2018. BU is 2-1 on its road stretch so far, and 3-2 outside of Boston this season.
Colgate is in the midst of three consecutive matches at home. Five of its eight contests have come in Hamilton, though the Raiders are 0-3-2 in those games.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- The Terriers opened up Patriot League action with a come-from-behind, 2-1 victory at Lafayette last Saturday (Sept. 17).
- Sophomore Morgan Fagan tallied the game-tying goal in the 58th minute, scoring on her birthday.

- Dating back to last year, BU is 6-0-1 in its last seven games when Oldham records a point.
- The Terriers generated a season-high 13 corner kicks in the match, their most in four seasons.
- With that effort, BU vaulted to 16th national with 7.22 corners per match. That mark is second only to Brown among schools based in the Northeast and tops in the Patriot League.
- Fagan has a three-game points streak, scoring two goals on three shots on target.
- Thompson ranks fourth in the league in shots (2.33 per game) and fifth in shots on goal (1.11 per match).

- However, the Colgate defense has allowed one or fewer goals in four of its last five contests.
- Ally Giovino has scored two of the Raiders' four goals this season. Grace Poncsak and Emma Hickey have combined for a .727 save percentage between the posts.

SERIES HISTORY
- Wednesday marks the 14th all-time meeting between BU and Colgate in a series that started in 1998.
- The Terriers hold a 9-3-1 edge in the rivalry. However, the Raiders have taken three of the last four matches.
- BU has outscored Colgate 18-6 in those 13 games.
- Four of the last five duels have been decided by one goal.
- The Raiders took last year's matchup 1-0 at Nickerson Field on Sept. 22 with a goal from Hannah Pinkus in the 54th minute. That served as BU's only loss against a Patriot League opponent that season, and the last regular season loss of the year.
