Men's Tennis Perfect in Doubles Over Weekend against Brandeis, Merrimack

PEABODY, Mass. – Highlighted by a perfect 8-0 doubles record, the Boston University men's tennis team had a strong performance over the weekend against Brandeis and Merrimack with the Salem Country Club serving as host for the BU Invitational.
In singles play, seven Terriers combined for a 11-5 mark with senior Jonah Dickson, senior Ben Letzer, senior Johann Sajonz, junior Adrian Pawlowski and freshman Gustavs Dambins all collecting two wins apiece.
Dickson dropped the fewest games in his two wins, posting a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Brandeis and a 6-0, 6-1 decision against Merrimack. Dambins, Letzer and Sajonz all won their matches in straight sets as well.
In doubles, Dickson teamed with junior Cole Knutsen for a pair of victories and added a third with Pawlowski. Dambins duplicated those efforts, earning two victories with Sajonz and then a third with Pawlowski.
The Terriers will next head to Rhode Island to compete at the Bryant Invite on Friday (Oct. 20) - Sunday (Oct. 22).
