Prosser, Kiley Awarded PL Weekly Honors

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshmen Hannah Prosser and Molly Kiley of the Boston University cross country team were named the Patriot League female Runner and Rookie of the week, respectively, the league announced Tuesday. The accolades follow the Terriers' success at the Lehigh Paul Short Run at which they placed third out of 44 teams in the 6K.

Prosser ran a 19:59.1 and was one of two runners at the event to finish in under 20 minutes. Not only was she the first Patriot League finisher, but she was also the first freshman to cross the line in the race. In just her second race as a Terrier, she placed second in a field of 393 runners to help BU to its best-ever finish at the event.

Kiley was BU's fourth finisher and placed 68th overall with a time of 21:30.1. Her performance helped BU maintain its scoring position to defeat Penn State who was receiving votes in the USTFCCCA coaches poll. Kiley was the second first year in the league to cross the finish line with Prosser being the first.

BU will be back in action on Friday, Oct. 13 at the IC4A/ECAC Championship.
