Montoya, Phillips Set School Records

BOSTON – The Boston University track & field team concluded its indoor season at the IC4A/ECAC meet over the weekend. Grad student Emma Montoya and senior Noelani Phillips competed for the Terriers set both school and Patriot League records in their respective events.
Montoya raced in the 400m dash in which she advanced to the finals with a time of 53.70. In the finals, Montoya ran to a 53.34 to take the school record outright and top the previous record of 53.52 set in 1988. She placed second in the event at the meet.
Phillips competed in the 200m dash and advanced to the finals with a time of 24.07. In the finals, Phillips ran a 23.73 to set the school record, besting the previous record of 23.87 which was set in 2011. The senior placed second overall in the event.
The Terriers will be back in action on March 23 when they begin the outdoor season at NC State with the Raleigh Relays.
