LEWISBURG, Pa. - Paced by medalist
Christy Chen, the Boston University women's golf team opened its 2023-24 season by claiming the title at the Bucknell Invitational on Sunday at the Bucknell Golf Club.
The Terriers posted a plus-48 team total over the three rounds to finish eight strokes ahead of tournament host Bucknell.
Chen finished at 5-over (68-71-76--215) to claim the individual title by five strokes. In her collegiate debut freshman
Hibiki Adachi finished fifth at 12-over (72-75-75--222).
Sophomore
Annika Manjunath had the best round of any BU golfer on Sunday with a 2-over 72 and finished tied for 13th at plus-18 (78-78-72--288). Freshman
Madison Takai also tied for 13th with an 81-71-76--228 scoreline.
Junior
Victoria Takai posted a plus-23 (78-77-78--233) to place tied for 22nd while classmate
Meiqi Gao finished tied for 27th at plus-25 (76-80-79--235).
The Terriers will continue their fall schedule next weekend at the Princeton Invitational.
