
Men’s Rowing Concludes Competition at Head of the Charles

BOSTON – The Boston University men's rowing program wrapped up the 59th Head of the Charles Regatta on Sunday (Oct. 20), with the DeWolfe Boathouse serving as the starting line for the course.
BU raced two crews on the afternoon with the Championship 4+ and Championship 8+. The former, coxed by Jimmy Smith and stroked by Ian Varga, finished in a time of 16:37.229, good for 14th place out of 18 crews.
The Terrier entry in the Championship 8+, coxed by Emily Slawin and stroked by Jan Koska, was 13th out of 30 crews with a time of 14:12.784. BU finished ahead of the top boats from Brown, Georgetown, Syracuse, Wisconsin and Columbia.
