BOSTON – Continuing a three-game homestand, the Boston University men's basketball team will host UAlbany at Case Gym on Saturday with the tip-off slated for 1 p.m.

TERRIER TIDBITS

Already owning a 75-71 win at UMBC, BU is facing its second of four America East squads with visits scheduled for UMass Lowell (Dec. 21) and Maine (Dec. 29).
The Terriers are looking to bounce back from last Sunday's 73-65 loss to Sacred Heart that was preceded by wins in Baltimore against defending MEAC champion Howard (69-62) and the Retrievers.
Sophomore Kyrone Alexander is the lone Terrier averaging double figures in points at 12.5 ppg with 5.0 rpg.
Both Alexander and graduate student Miles Brewster (9.5 ppg) are tied at 17 assists and 11 steals apiece. Alexander is also tied with sophomore Michael McNair (8.5 ppg) at 16 made 3-pointers.
On the defensive front, senior Malcolm Chimezie (7.6 ppg) leads BU with 6.4 rpg and six blocks.
The Terriers are averaging 64.6 ppg and 40.9 FG% while holding opponents to 67.6 ppg and 42.8 FG%.

SCOUTING UALBANY

UAlbany is coming off Wednesday's 88-73 home win vs. Columbia that saw the Lions suffer their first defeat of the season.
The Great Danes enter the contest with an 0-2 mark against Patriot League teams, falling at Army West Point (67-59) and dropping an 81-77 decision to American in Puerto Rico.
UAlbany owns a road win at Dartmouth (87-73) and most recently fell at Georgetown, 100-68.
Four Great Danes are averaging double figures in points with Byron Joshua leading the way at 13.8 ppg, 3.4 apg and 2.6 apg, while Justin Neely owns a team-high 6.6 rpg alongside 12.6 ppg.
Ranking 15th nationally in turnover margin (5.6) and 18th in steals per game (10.1 spg), UAlbany is averaging 77.6 ppg and 45.3 FG% while holding opponents to 70.9 ppg and 48.7 FG%.

SERIES HISTORY

BU leads the all-time series, 20-10, that dates back to when UAlbany joined the America East for the 2001-02 season.
Last season, the Great Danes posted an 86-72 home victory to avenge BU's 71-61 win at UAlbany back in 2018.
UAlbany shot 45.5 FG% and held BU to 38.5 FG% with a 22-18 advantage in made free throws.
The Terriers are 9-5 all-time at home with the Great Danes winning the last meeting at Case Gym in 2017, 88-74.
