Results

BOSTON - The Boston University men's track & field team closed out the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday. Graduate Student Foster Malleck highlighted the day with a school record performance in the mile as BU notched four Top-10 Terrier marks.

Top-10 Terriers

Malleck broke the school record in the mile with a time of 3:55.80. He took down sophomore Parker Schneider's record which was set at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener.
Senior Stuart Bladon ran 8.63 in the 60m hurdles to tie the ninth-best time in BU history.
Senior Dakota Jackson placed third in the 60m dash with a time of 6.75 to keep the second-fastest time in BU history in the event. This marks his fastest finish since 2022 and now makes him the sole leader in the 60m in the Patriot League.
Sophomore Freddy Collins ran the ninth-fastest mile time in BU history with a 4:01.42.

Top Performers

Senior Matt Mason ran career best 8:21.02 over 3,000m which is the 10th-best current time in the Patriot League.
Senior Alex Brown ran 14:25.83 in the 5,000m for a PR and the current fourth-best time in the Patriot League.
In his event debut, freshman Shamiso Sikaneta ran 1:52.13 over 800m for the sixth-fastest time in the league currently.
Senior Matt Spicer ran a 48.97 in the 400m, a season best.
In the long jump, junior Ryan Rosenberger placed second with a mark of 7.08m (23' 2.75"). That's a season best and seventh among his Patriot League peers this year.
Jackson also placed seventh in the 200m with a time of 21.57.
