Terriers Visit Navy for Patriot League Championships

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - The Boston University swimming & diving teams will vie for titles this week at the Patriot League Championships, hosted by Navy at Lejeune Hall on Feb. 21-24.
The Terriers will look to improve on last season's showing which saw the women place fourth and the men finish fifth. During the regular season, the BU women went 6-1 in dual competition, including a 3-1 PL mark, while the men posted a 4-3 record and 2-2 against conference competition.
Senior Sumi Cameron (1-meter) and junior Sophia Souza (3-meter) will be defending their diving titles from last season and sophomore Haley Newman is the defending champion in the 400-yard individual medley and the 200-yard butterfly. Cameron went on to be named the 2023 Diver of the Meet and was joined on the All-Patriot League First Team by Newman and Souza while then-junior Lara Mitchell earned second-team honors. On the men's side, graduate student Kyle Falkstrom earned second-team honors last season after being a part of three school records (2 individual, 1 relay) at last year's league meet.
