
Terriers in Hunt After Opening Day of Patriot League Championship

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Freshman Amy Han of the Boston University women's golf team is tied for the lead after the opening round of the Patriot League Championship and the Terriers will enter the second round in third place after recording a score of 301 on Friday at Bucknell Golf Club.
Han recorded 10 straight pars to open her round and had three birdies on the back nine to secure a 1-over 73, tying her with three other golfers for the lead.
Sophomore Annika Manjunath was 1-under on her back nine and finished with a 5-over 75, which puts her in a tie for eighth heading into Saturday.
The Terriers currently have three golfers in the top 10 as junior Victoria Takai is tied for 10th in the 60-player field after firing a 6-over 76. She was tied for the lead at the turn after shooting an even-par 36 on the front.
BU's fourth score came from defending PL champion Christy Chen, who rebounded from a tough front nine to post a 1-over 35 on the back, finishing with a 77.
Junior Meiqi Gao and freshman Hibiki Adachi carded a 79 (+9) and 85 (+15), respectively.
BU is six strokes behind leader Lehigh entering Saturday and four strokes ahead of defending champion Richmond.
The Terriers' second round will get underway at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
