Peace Omonzane and Leonni Griffin - Postmeet Audio Women's Results

BOSTON, Mass. — Freshman Leonni Griffin entered the top 10 all-time list in the 800m run, highlighting the Boston University women's track & field team's performance at the John Thomas Terrier Classic Friday at the Track & Tennis Center.

Top 10 Terriers

Freshman Leonni Griffin entered the Terrier Top 10 at number 10 in the 800m run, finishing in 2:10.63.

Top Performers

Junior Jada Smith finished the 60m dash in 7.69 seconds, taking fourth in the event.
In the 60m hurdles final, freshman Iman Roka took second place with an 8.71 time.
Junior Peace Omonzane cleared the rest of the triple jump fieled with a 12.76m mark, her best of the season so far and the best in the Patriot League this year.
Junior Madison Sorrell finished fourth in the shot put, hoisting her implement 13.59 meters.

Shattered Records

2024 Paris Olympics silver medalist Salwa Eid Naser of Bahrain set a new facility record in the 500m, finishing in 1:08.34 in her first-ever indoor race.
In the mile, American 5K record holder Elise Cranny ran a 4:20.83, taking down the former mile record of 4:24.11, set in 2014 by Mary Cain.
