Junior Vera Sjöberg broke records in the mile and 3000m, junior Ellie Roan broke her own weight throw record and senior Alli Lofquist broke a 24-year-old school record in the pole vault.
TOP 10 TERRIERS
- Lofquist never needed all three attempts to clear each height and on her first 3.92m attempt, she broke the school record. It was previously 3.90m, set by Andrea Stuermer in 2001.
- In the weight throw, Roan's second attempt left a chalk mark at 20.15 meters, marking the first time a Terrier woman has thrown that distance. She broke her own school record of 19.93 meters that she set at the Patriot League Championships in 2024.
- Sjöberg's first record of the day came in the mile, where she ran a 4:28.12 time and now has the record by over seven seconds. She would be the 15th-fastest collegian to ever run the mile entering this weekend with that mark.
- Her second record came just a few hours later, when she became the first woman in Terrier history to run a 3000m race under nine minutes, finishing in 8:57.91. She would be 18th in the NCAA prior to this weekend's results.
- In the shot put, Kiana Lino improved upon her second-best all-time mark with a 14.79m throw.
- Roan moved up on the all-time top 10 list in the event, reaching 14.37 meters.
- In her last time throwing competively at the TTC, graduate student Juliana Nakouzi hit a personal record and improved upon her all-time ranking of number five with a 17.86m mark.
- Freshman Leonni Griffin finished 42nd in a stacked 800m field, finishing in 2:09.41.
- The Terriers placed three long jumpers in the top five, with senior Asia Hamilton (5.91m), junior Peace Omonzane (5.88m) and senior Jamie Chamberlain (5.64m) taking first, second and fifth, respectively.
- Omonzane also won the triple jump with a season-best 12.49m mark. She was followed by senior Emma Lawrence, who tied her personal best with an 11.98m jump.
- Freshman Caroline Collins hit a personal best in the mile, finishing in 4:49.77.
- Junior Olivia Dodds made her season debut in the 800m and almost cracked the all-time top 10 list, finishing in 2:11.01 – .8 seconds away from the number 10 spot.
- Junior Chinonye Moneme set a new personal best in the 200m, finishing in 25.11.
- Oregon's Silan Ayyildiz ran a time of 4:23.46 to break the indoor collegiate mile record previously held by Kaitlyn Tuohy of 4:24.26.
- Four milers — Ayyildiz, NC State's Grace Hartman (4:24.76), Georgetown's Melissa Riggins (4:24.98) and Virginia's Margot Appleton (4:25.03) — all entered the all-time collegiate top 10 with their times.
- Alabama's Doris Lemngole took the collegiate lead in the 3000m run, finishing in 8:41.83 and taking second in the meet.
