No. 12 Terriers Wrap Regular Season Play With Home-and-Home Series Against UConn

BOSTON – The No. 12 Boston University women's ice hockey team (21-9-2, 18-5-2 HE) will wrap up the regular season with a home-and-home series against UConn (19-11-2, 17-6-2 HE) this weekend. Puck drop at the Toscano Family Ice Forum on Friday (Feb. 21) is set for 3 p.m. while the game on Saturday (Feb. 22) at Walter Brown Arena is scheduled for 4 p.m.
 
The Hockey East regular season champion will be decided in the series with either BU or UConn claiming the title. BU needs only one point in the two games to take the title, which it has not owned since 2013. The Huskies were named the regular season champions in 2024, a title which it claimed with a win at Walter Brown Arena last season.
 
Saturday will be BU's senior day, recognizing all 10 members of the graduating class. In addition to being on ESPN+, Saturday's game will also air on NESN. Tickets for the game can be purchased here.
 
TERRIER TIDBITS
  • BU won on the road 2-1 at New Hampshire and lost in a shootout at home after a 2-2 tie against the Wildcats last weekend.
  • Seniors Christina Vote and Maggie Hanzel scored in the win while graduate student Tamara Giaquinto scored twice in the tie.
