DeMicheli Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Blanka DeMicheli of the Boston University women's tennis team was selected as the Patriot League player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
DeMicheli went a combined 2-0 in her matches against Patriot League foe Bucknell. The sophomore clinched the doubles point against the Bison with a 6-3 win at line two before going on to win 6-0, 6-1 at line four in singles to put the Terriers up 2-0 in the match.
The Boca Raton, Fla., native went 3-0 in doubles over the course of BU's spring break trip. Her 6-2 win at line two with freshman Madison Liu helped BU win the doubles point against No. 63 FIU. The pair also battled to a 7-6 (0) win at the No. 2 spot against No. 29 FAU to set the foundation for BU to claim the doubles point.
DeMicheli and the Terriers will continue Patriot League play with a match against Lehigh on Sunday (March 23). First serve at John McEnroe Tennis Academy is set for 10 a.m.
