HANOVER, N.H. – The Boston University women's tennis team (1-2) dropped a 5-2 decision to Dartmouth on Saturday evening.

Doubles was closely contested, with senior Emily Zhao and sophomore Madison Liu winning at line three, 6-0. Dartmouth won at line one, causing the doubles point to be decided at line two. Junior Blanka DeMicheli and senior Rhea Rai teamed at line two but ultimately fell, 7-6 (9), and Dartmouth took the doubles point.

In singles, Dartmouth earned a second point with a win in the No. 6 spot. BU earned its first point at line four when junior Ellie Gyuro defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-4. Dartmouth responded with a win at line one to go up 3-1 in the match. Shortly thereafter, M. Liu posted a 7-6, 6-4 win at line five to give BU its second point. Dartmouth went on to win at lines three and two, respectively, to secure the 5-2 win.

The Terriers will be back on the courts on Sunday when they face Bryant at the Winchester Tennis Club. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
