
Track & Field Competes at Raleigh Relays, Bobcat Invitational

BOSTON — Highlighted by 10 top 10 marks, the Boston University track & field program wrapped up the Bobcat Invitational at Texas State and the Raleigh Relays at North Carolina State Saturday. Both meets began Thursday and lasted three days.

BOBCAT INVITATIONAL RESULTS
TOP 10 TERRIERS
- Freshman Zoe Goldberg threw her javelin 43.51m in her collegiate debut, marking the second-best mark of a Terrier all-time. She finished fourth in the event.
- In the triple jump, junior Peace Omonzane reached 12.85m to take fourth place and improve to second all-time at BU. She is now either first or second all-time at BU in each of the horizontal jumps, indoor and outdoor.
- Sophomore Karsen Vesty secured two top 10 Terrier marks at the Raleigh Relays, running a 3:40.21 time in the 1500m to finish 13th in the event and move into third all-time at BU. He also ran a 1:48.21 in the 800m, a new outdoor personal best and fifth all-time at BU. His 800m time is third in the NCAA East Region and his 1500m time is 11th.
- Junior Parker Schneider ran a 3:41.14 in the 1500m at the Raleigh Relays, finishing 17th and moving into fourth all-time at BU.
- Junior Freddy Collins had a great day in the 5000m, improving upon his own fourth all-time mark at BU with a 13:41.32 time.
- Freshman Olivia Hughes completed her first collegiate pentathlon with 4,655 points, moving into fourth all-time at BU. She finished third at the meet and had top-five finishes in the heptathlon section of the long jump (5.32m - 4th), shot put (10.98m - 1st) and 800m (2:27.63 - 4th).
- Freshman Thomas Cowan had a great 800m run, finishing fifth at the Raleigh Relays and notching a 1:48.62 time. That mark is eighth all-time at BU.
- Sophomore Olivia Dodds ran 2:09.98 in the 800m at the Raleigh Relays to move into ninth all-time at BU.
- In the 1500m, freshman Caroline Collins posted a 4:24.74 time to slide into 10th all-time at BU.
- Senior Samuel Roszak won the B section of the long jump with a 7.19m leap.
- In the women's long jump section A, junior Omonzane reached 6.24 meters, finishing second. She was just .03m from her personal best.
- Schneider also ran the 800m at the Raleigh Relays, finishing 18th with a 1:50.06 time.
- Junior Ellie Roan threw her hammer 58.63m, taking fourth in the hammer throw.
