Men’s Rowing Welcomes Dartmouth to Boston on Saturday

BOSTON – For its final race on the Charles River in the 2025 spring season, the Boston University men's rowing program competes against Dartmouth with the Bill Cup on the line this Saturday, April 12.
Saturday's races air on ESPN+ and begin at 7:45 a.m. with the Bill Cup. Live results can be found on HereNow using the link at the top of the article.

RACE SCHEDULE – APRIL 12
- 7:45 a.m. – Varsity 8+
- 8:15 a.m. – Second Varsity 8+
- 8:45 a.m. – Third Varsity 8+
- BU squared off against Northeastern on the Charles River back on April 5.
- The Huskies retained the Arlett Cup after finishing first in the Varsity 8+ race.
- The Second Varsity 8+ race had the closest margin, with Northeastern narrowly crossing the line first by under three seconds.
- BU remained in 12th in the IRCA/IRA Varsity 8+ poll. Dartmouth occupied the sixth spot.
- In the first EARC seeding poll, released on April 10, the Terriers top three varsity crews were ninth. The Fourth Varsity 8+ is eighth.
- The Big Green opened its fall slate on April 5 in a dual race against Yale.
- With a two-second victory in the Varsity 8+ in 6:10.3, Dartmouth claimed the Olympic Axe for the first time in the trophy's 21-year history.
- Dartmouth will also compete in the Lake Morey Invite later this month, then battle Northeastern on May 4 in Fairlee, Vt.
- Big Green assistant coach Sabrina Bohrer is the daughter of BU head coach Thomas Bohrer. She is in her second season with the men's program.
- Saturday marks the first time since the 2018-19 season that BU and Dartmouth will face off on the Charles River.
- Dartmouth has captured the Bill Cup in the last three seasons, while BU vies for its first V8+ win since 2019.
- At last year's Lake Morey Invite, the Big Green won by 3.7 seconds in 6:09.0.
- The Terriers and Big Green both finished top 10 at last year's IRA National Championship Regatta, where Dartmouth finished eighth. BU's V8+ defeated Dartmouth in the Petite Final by 1.12 seconds for a fourth-place result.
- BU travels to Lake Quinsigamond to race Holy Cross and Temple on Saturday, April 19.
