BOSTON — The Boston University women's lacrosse team travels to Colgate for a midweek matchup with the Raiders. Opening draw is set for 5 p.m.
Colgate currently sits at fifth in the Patriot League with a 3-3 conference record while the Terriers are 2-4 and tied with Lehigh and Bucknell for sixth. BU is coming off a loss to league-leading Loyola Maryland, while Colgate has rattled off three straight PL wins over American, Bucknell and Lafayette.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Terriers dropped a contest to No. 15/16 Loyola Maryland on Saturday, April 12, 20-14.
- Down by eight at the half, the Terriers scored 11 second-half goals – the most goals in the second half this season – and outscored Loyola 11-9 in the final 30 minutes.
- Junior Elle Stevenson scored five goals and added two assists, tying her career highs in goals, assists and points.
TERRIER TIDBITS
- Sophomore Izabella Amonte has scored 32 goals this season and has 36 points, leading the team in both categories.
- With her four goals against Lafayette earlier this year, Amonte became the first Terrier to score 20-plus goals in her first 10 career games since 2012, when Mallory Collins had 31 in her first 10 games.
- In net, sophomore Natalie Aiosa has been stuffing the stat sheet – she is second in the Patriot League in save percentage (.467) saves per game (9.92). In the NCAA rankings, Aiosa is 24th in save percentage and 17th in saves per game.
- Junior Elle Stevenson is second on the team in goals with 24 and has 31 points, tying her career-best mark that she set in 2024.
- Senior Hannah Tillier sits just two points away from 100 career points.
- Freshman Kaitlyn Barton has been a force on the draw this season, grabbing 54 this year. She is 10th in the PL in draw controls per game (4.15).
- Graduate student Kendall Sims has shown off her true midfield presence in her final year, leading BU in ground balls (32) while scoring 12 goals, causing eight turnovers and collecting 22 draw controls.
- Sims is third in the PL in ground balls per game (2.67) entering the weekend and is 32nd in the country.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS
- Colgate sits at 3-3 in Patriot League play and is one spot above the Terriers in the league standings.
- The Raiders are fifth in goals per game (12.23) and are ninth in goals against average (12.66).
- Caroline Panzirer leads the team in goals (36) assists (20) and points (56).
- Lucy Licata has been stellar at the draw, collecting 127 draw controls, good for fourth in the PL this year.
- Goalkeeper Lauren Solis sits at 11th in the conference in save percentage (.378) and averages 6.69 saves per game.
