
Bakaityte Tabbed Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Uma Bakaityte of the Boston University women's tennis team was named the Patriot League player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
Bakaityte went 2-0 in the match against Army West Point. In doubles, her and freshman Gabriella Mikaul won 6-4 at the top of the lineup, making them the only pair to win their doubles match in BU's favor. In singles, Bakaityte earned BU's first point of the match with a 6-2, 6-2 win at the No. 1 spot.
The sophomore finished the regular season with an 8-6 record at line one in singles and a 10-7 record at line one in doubles with Mikaul. This is Bakaityte's first weekly award of the season.
Bakaityte and the Terriers will play in the Patriot League Championship beginning on Friday (April 24).
