Mikaul Named Patriot League Player of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Sophomore Gabriella Mikaul of the Boston University women's tennis team was selected as the Patriot League player of the week, the league announced Tuesday.
Mikaul helped BU defeat Bucknell, 7-0, to remain undefeated in Patriot League play. In doubles, she teamed with junior Nancy Liu to win 6-3 at line one and clinch the doubles point. She won at the No. 1 spot in singles in a 6-3, 6-2 decision to win BU's third point of the match and go unbeaten on the weekend.
The Manalapan, N.J., native is 4-2 in dual singles this year and 3-3 in doubles. Three of her four singles wins have come in the No. 1 spot while all three of her doubles wins have occurred at the top of the lineup.
Mikaul and the Terriers will be back on the courts on Sunday (March 1) when they face Brown. First serve at Manchester Athletic Club is set for 1 p.m.
