
Women's Tennis Defeated by UMass, 5-2

WINCHESTER, Mass. - The Boston University women's tennis team fell to UMass, 5-2, on Saturday at Winchester Tennis Club.
The Minutewomen won the doubles point and then claimed four singles matches en route to the victory.
Sophomore Gabriella Mikaul lost a thriller at No. 1 singles, falling 6-3, 4-6, 6-7 (4). Junior Nancy Liu lost the first set in her singles match at line two but battled back to win the next two sets, 6-4, 6-2. Sophomore Madison Liu also earned a singles win, defeating her opponent at line five, 5-3, 3-6, 6-1. Junior Ellie Gyuro also lost a three-set heartbreaker, as she fell at line three by a score of 5-7, 6-1, 4-6.
The Terriers will return to action on Friday, Feb. 20, when they face Patriot League foe Bucknell at Winchester Tennis Club.
