BOSTON – The Boston University women's ice hockey team welcomes No. 7/6 Northeastern for the 47th Dunkin' Women's Beanpot semifinals on Tuesday night at Walter Brown Arena.

This is the first time since 2019 that BU has hosted the Beanpot. The other semifinal game will be contested between Boston College and Harvard at 4:30 p.m.

Students of participating Beanpot schools will be granted free entry to Tuesday's games with a valid student ID. BU's game will be available for streaming on NESN+ and ESPN+.

BEANPOT SNAPSHOT

The Terriers are 12-20-6 in Beanpot games, including an 8-11 record in semifinals, since becoming a varsity program in 2005.
BU has won two Beanpot championships - one in 2019 and another in 1981 as a club team.
The Terriers have nine Beanpot semifinal wins with eight of them coming as a varsity program.
BU and Northeastern last met in the Beanpot semifinals in 2022, when Northeastern won, 4-1, at Conte Forum.
The Terriers and the Huskies have met in the Beanpot 15 times since BU became a varsity program.
The last time BU hosted the Beanpot, it skated past Northeastern in the semifinal round with a shootout win following a 3-3 tie.
In 2025, BU made it to the championship game for the second year in a row after defeating Harvard, 2-1, in overtime, in the semifinal game.
Out of BU's returners, Sydney Healey (goal) and Riley Walsh (assist) each landed on the score sheet in that game.
BU went on to play Northeastern in the championship, but dropped the contest, 4-0.

TERRIER TIDBITS

BU defeated New Hampshire, 2-1, at the Whittemore Center.
Senior Luisa Welcke scored the lamplighter for BU and was assisted by senior Riley Walsh.
Senior Sydney Healey scored the unassisted game-winner.
Graduate student Michelle Pasiechnyk made 25 saves in between the posts.
The Terriers' faceoff win percentage of 0.540 is second in Hockey East and 10th in the nation.

The Terriers have the sixth-best scoring offense in the league.
BU's penalty killing percentage of 0.838 is good for sixth in Hockey East.

Lilli Welcke leads the Terriers in faceoff wins with 216, which ranks third in Hockey East and 28th in the NCAA.
S. Healey's goals per game of 0.550 is third best in Hockey East and she owns the fourth-best mark in the league in game-winning goals (3).
S. Healey leads BU in points (18) and goals (11).
Seniors Clara Yuhn, Walsh and S. Healey are all tied for the lead in assists with seven apiece.
Junior Mari Pietersen's save percentage (.927) ranks fifth in Hockey East while Pasiechnyk's (.910) ranks 11th.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES

Northeastern is 16-5-0 overall with a 6-3-0 record on the road.
The Huskies most recently defeated Providence, 5-2, on the road.
Northeastern's last loss came against No. 14/13 Yale in a 3-0 decision.
Forward Lily Shannon leads the league in points, goals, assists and points per game.
Netminder Lisa Jönsson is tied for the league lead in shutouts with three.
The Huskies have been ranked in the top 10 of the USCHO and USA Hockey polls for most of the season.

SERIES HISTORY VS. NORTHEASTERN

BU is 35-38-9 all time against Northeastern with a 15-17-3 mark at home.
In Beanpot contests, BU is 4-6-4, which includes both rounds of play.
In the most recent meeting, BU lost at Matthews Arena, 7-3.
The Terriers' last win against Northeastern came in the 2025 Hockey East Championship, winning 3-2 in overtime.
