BOSTON — The Boston University women's track & field team finished up the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on Saturday at the Track & Tennis Center.

Senior Ellie Roan improved her own school record again in the weight throw, launching a 21.45m throw in the preliminaries and winning the event. That ties her for No. 18 in the NCAA this season.

Top 10 Terriers

Sophomore Iman Roka cruised to an 8.34 time in the 60m hurdles, making her the second-best performer in BU history and the best in the Patriot League this season. She is only behind legend and Olympian Sharon Colyear-Danville, who owns an 8.21 mark set in 1980.
Senior Peace Omonzane clocked a 7.70 time in the 60m dash, moving into eighth all-time at BU.
Senior Olivia Dodds finished the elite 800m in 2:07.93 to solidify her spot at third all-time.
Freshman Samantha Lascelles posted an 800m time of 2:08.20 to move into fourth all-time, first among active Terriers.
The 4x400m squad of Nia McCurdy, Ijeoma Ezechukwu, Jada Smith and Kendall Barnhart finished second with a 3:40.17 time, sliding into third all-time.
In the shot put, senior Uchenna Uba put up a 13.77m mark and moved into eighth all-time.

Top Performers

Smith won the 60m invite with a 7.54 time in the final, just .02 seconds off her career-best mark.
Barnhart had a good day in her individual events as well, running a 25.04 in the 200m open and finishing seventh and clocking a 55.85 400m time to finish second in the open event.
Roan also had a solid day in the shot put, reaching 15.17m and finishing second.
Senior Peace Omonzane championed the long jump, with her sixth and final attempt at 6.06m.
