Cowan Named Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Sophomore Thomas Cowan of the Boston University men's track & field team was named the Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday.
Cowan blazed to a 1:46.83 time in the 800m at the Valentine Invitational on Friday (Feb. 13), finishing third in the elite event from the fourth heat. His time is a BU record, leads the Patriot League, ties a New Zealand indoor record and is tied for 18th in the NCAA this season. This is the Auckland, New Zealand native's third time winning the award this season.
Cowan and the Terriers will next head to the Brown Invite on Saturday, Feb. 21.
