
Harvard Shuts Out Terriers, 4-0

NORTH ALLSTON, Mass. — The Boston University men's tennis team was swept by the Harvard Crimson, 4-0, on Sunday evening.
The Terriers (1-4) had close battles at the singles spots, but ultimately the Crimson (6-4) secured the victory by taking the doubles point and singles matches two, five and three.
Senior Jakob Esterowitz won his first set 7-5 against the No. 27-ranked player in the country, Harvard's Nathan Blokin, at first singles. Blokhin took the second set, but the match finished before either player could earn the tiebreak win.
Junior Adrian Quiros was also locked in a battle at fourth singles, down 4-6, 3-5 to his opponent before the match concluded, and sophomore Andrew Andea was in a similar match at sixth singles, trailing 4-6, 3-4 before the competition was clinched by Harvard.
The Terriers could not claim a doubles win either, with Andea and sophomore Jaydon Barki being the closest. They trailed 3-5 at second doubles when the point was clinched by Harvard at first and third singles.
Next, the Terriers will host BYU on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Wellesley Country Club in Wellesley at 6 p.m.
