Healey Selected as Hockey East Player of the Week

AMESBURY, Mass. – Senior Sydney Healey of the Boston University women's ice hockey team was named the Boston Children's Hospital Co-Player of the Week, Hockey East announced Monday.
In the final two games of the season, Healey scored three of BU's four goals. Her lamplighter in the Hockey East opening round against Providence came on a shorthanded opportunity and she later scored BU's second goal on an empty net. In the quarterfinals against Northeastern, she scored the equalizer that would ultimately force the game to double overtime. The senior was +3 against Providence and +1 against Northeastern.
The weekly award is Healey's second of the season after receiving the nod back on Feb. 2 and her fourth of her career. She ends the season with a career high in all scoring categories, registering 29 points off 18 goals and 11 assists. Her four shorthanded goals not only lead Hockey East but set a career high in the category, having never scored on a shorthanded opportunity before this season. Her four game winning goals also set a career high in the category.
