Collins Tabbed PL Track Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Senior Freddy Collins of the Boston University men's track & field team was named the Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week, the League announced Tuesday afternoon.
Collins, a Stow, Massachusetts native, clocked a 13:40.21 5K time at the Penn Relays on Thursday, a mark that ranks first in the conference and 24th in the NCAA East Region. He also competed for the 4x800m relay team that won the Penn Relays open competition with the third-fastest time in the conference this season, 7:28.72.
This is Collins' second career Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week honor and his first this season. He and the Terriers will be back in action at the East Coast Relays and the Jay Carisella Coaches Invitational beginning Friday, May 1.
