Cowan Named Track Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. — Sophomore Thomas Cowan of the Boston University track & field program was named the Patriot League Track Athlete of the Week, the League announced Tuesday afternoon.
Cowan, an Auckland, New Zealand native, ran a 1:48.90 time in the 800m at the NEICAAA Outdoor Championships to win the event, marking his fastest outdoor time this season. The mark ranks sixth in the Patriot League entering the Championships. This is his first Track Athlete of the Week honor in the outdoor season. He had four indoor honors in the same category.
He and the Terriers will head to Annapolis, Maryland for the 2026 Patriot League Outdoor Track & Field Championships starting on Friday, May 16 and finishing on Saturday, May 17.
