Alexander Representing Barbados at FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre-Qualifiers

BOSTON — Rising senior Kyrone Alexander of the Boston University men's basketball team is representing Barbados at the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Caribbean Pre-Qualifiers in Georgetown, Guyana over the weekend.
In his first group stage game, Alexander notched 15 points and had three rebounds, three assists and two steals to help Barbados earn an 89-54 win over the Cayman Islands on Wednesday (July 8). It was Alexander's first game action since November of 2025, as he missed the rest of the 2025-26 season due to injury.
The schedule for Alexander and Barbados is as follows:
July 8 - Barbados 89, Cayman Islands 54
July 9 - Barbados vs. Haiti - 3 p.m.
July 11 - Barbados vs. Grenada - 12:30 p.m.
July 12 - Barbados vs. St. Vincent and the Grenadines - 12:30 p.m.
After the group stage games, the team finishing highest in the group will advance to the next round of the FIBA AmeriCup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers.
