Men's Soccer Drops 4-0 Decision to UConn

STORRS, CT (Oct. 6) -- Four different Huskies scored to lead No.11 Connecticut past Boston University, 4-0, on a cool fall afternoon at Morrone Stadium.
UConn's Darin Lewis (Trenton, NJ) scored the game-winner at 23:06 from Brent Rahim (Diego Martin, Trinidad).
Three second half goals were added by Luis Arauz (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) at 70:46, Chris Gbandi (Houston, TX) at 74:56, and Donny Mark (Shorewood, MN) at 80:23.
B.U.'s freshman goalie Matt Smith (Lancaster, England) made two saves for the Terriers. Neil Roberts' squad had been unbeaten in its last seven games (3-0-4). It was the Terriers first loss since a 1-0 (OT) set back at Rhode Island on September 10. UConn outshot B.U 16-7, and held the advantage in corner kicks, 5-3.
The Terriers return to the field on Saturday, October 9 to play Northeastern in an America East conference game at Boston University's Nickerson Field at 1 p.m.
