Women's Soccer Wins League Opener

The Terrier women's soccer team scored early and often and senior Beth Weisman (Potomac, MD) earned a shutout as B.U. blanked New Hampshire, 2-0, Friday (September 24th) in the America East opener for the Terriers. The win improved the team's overall record to 4-3.
Just 45 seconds into the game, junior Molly Nolan (Winchester, MA) scored her first goal of the season, netting a pass from freshman Suzanne Hudak (Harleysville, PA). Junior Deidre Enos (Milton, MA), who is the Terriers' top scorer with 6-1-13, also had an assist.
Then, with just 15 minutes to play in regulation, sophomore Megan Cross (Pembroke, MA) scored an insurance goal with the assist going to senior Suzanne Finn (Dedham, MA).
Weisman played the entire game to improve her overall record to 2-1-0. It was her first full shutout of the season, as earlier in the year, she teamed with senior Meghan Lynch (Andover, MA) to blank Syracuse, 2-0.
The Terriers, who were picked to finish second in America East in the pre-season poll of the league coaches, will go after their second league win on Sunday (September 26th) when they travel to the University of Maine.
