Challenging Schedule Awaits 2000 Terrier Soccer Team

BOSTON, MASS. (May 23) - An ambitious schedule that includes games against Creighton, which played in the 1999 NCAA Tournament, and Syracuse, which advanced to the semifinals of last year's Big East Tournament awaits the 2000 Terrier men's soccer team.
"This is as competitive a schedule as any team in the Northeast," said Neil Roberts, who will enter his 16th season as the Terriers' head coach with an overall record of 193-74-39. "What will make it even more demanding for us is that we are in the midst of a rebuilding process."
After winning five straight America East tournament titles from 1993 through 1997, the Terriers have come up short the last two years.
"Even though we will be rebuilding this year, our goals remain the same," said Roberts. "We want to win the conference title."
