Mike Cardenas Named America East Player of the Week

Mike Cardenas had a total of 26 saves in three games, giving the Terriers a 2-0-1 record for the week.
The week began on September 11th when Cardenas had his first collegiate shutout after making six saves in the 1-0 win over UMass.
He posted his second straight shutout when he turned aside 11 shots in the Terriers' 3-0 win over Dartmouth on September 16th.
He then closed out the week on September 17th when he had nine saves in a 2-2 double overtime tie against Harvard. After giving up two goals in the first half, he played the last 79 minutes without giving up a goal.
A transfer from Providence College, Cardenas, who is playing his first year with the Terriers, has a record of 2-2-1 with a save percentage of .833 and 1.59 goals against average this season and is currently ranked sixth in the America East Individual Goalkeeping rankings.
