Women's Soccer Loses To Boston College, 3-1
October 2, 2001 | Women's Soccer
The Terrier women's soccer team dropped its third straight decision on Tuesday night (October 2nd) as it lost to host Boston College, 3-1.
After opening the season with four wins and a tie in their first five games, the Terriers have lost back-to-back games to the University of Utah, Brigham Young, and Boston College, as their record is now 4-4-1.
The Eagles scored twice in the first half, and it proved to be too much of a deficit to overcome for B.U. Sarah Rahko and Meghan Moore staked BC to its two-goal lead at the intermission.
Rebecca Beyer cut the deficit to 2-1 when she placed the ball perfectly over BC goalkeeper Elyse Meredith's head in the 49th minute. Beyer, who finished the game with a team-high four shots, got the assist from Katie Smurthwaite.
The Eagles got that goal back in the 78th minute when Morgan Page scored her first goal of the season but 37th of her career. The Terriers were outshot for the game, 15-14.
