BOSTON - Senior midfielder Andrew Dorman (Flintshire, Wales) and sophomore midfielder Sedrick Chin (St. Mary's, Jamaica) were honored each with selections to the 2003 NSCAA/adidas All-New England teams.
Following a record-breaking senior campaign, Dorman was named to the All-New England Second Team. Chin earned All-New England Third Team recognition.
Dorman has been named to an All-New England team for each of the past three seasons. Following the 2001 and 2002 seasons, he was selected to the All-New England First Teams.
A Three-time America East First Team All-Conference selection, Dorman led B.U. and ranked fourth in the nation in assists in 2003, averaging .71 assists per game on the strength of 12 assists in 17 contests. The midfielder also led the Terriers in scoring with 18 points and was tied for fourth on the team in goals with three.
During his four-year tenure, Dorman set a B.U. program record with 37 career assists. He scored 22 goals for a career total of 81 points, which tied him for seventh on the Terriers' career scoring list.
Dorman was recently invited to participate in the 2004 adidas Major League Soccer Player Combine, as announced by the MLS Communications Office on Thursday, Dec. 4.
Earning the first NSCAA honor of his career, Chin led the Terriers and ranked third in America East in goals per game with seven in 16 contests (0.44). Chin also received America East First Team All-Conference honors for his efforts in 2003.
Chin is one of eight starters and 18 letterwinners returning for the Terriers in 2004. Last season, Boston University posted a 9-8-3 overall record and a 4-2-3 mark in America East play.
