Terriers Add McLaughlin As Adminstrative Assistant Coach

BOSTON - The Boston University men's basketball program has added Chris McLaughlin to its coaching staff, head coach Dennis Wolff announced. McLaughlin begins his second season with B. U. He was the Terriers' video coordinator during the team's 20-11 season last year.
McLaughlin's basketball responsibilities include daily office operations, oversight of the team's student managers, video exchange, and assisting with the team's travel itineraries. He is also the co-coordinator of the program's Friends Group as well as Wolff's successful summer camps.
A 2001 graduate of Middlebury College in Middlebury, Vt. with a Political Science degree, McLaughlin was a four-year letterwinner and senior-year captain on the Panthers' basketball team and a two-year member of the lacrosse team, which made an appearance in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 1998 and advanced to the NCAA championship game in 1999.
During his stay at Middlebury, McLaughlin co-founded and was the Executive Commissioner of the Middlebury College Chapter of Operation Smile, a not-for-profit organization that offers free medical evaluations and surgical treatment to children and young adults who suffer from facial deformities in the United States and abroad. His work with Operation Smile has taken him to Vietnam in 2001 and to The Philippines in 2002. Additionally, McLaughlin lectured local youths as part of the Middlebury College Mentor and Goal-setting Program.
McLaughlin's background includes internships at the Eastern College Athletic Conference dealing with championships, marketing, and sponsorships, and with the NBA's New York Knicks in their public relations office.
A native of Ramsey, N. J., McLaughlin lives in nearby Brookline, Mass.
