Women's Swimming and Diving Edged by Stony Brook

STONY BROOK, NY-The women's swimming and diving team had some excellent individual performances but it was not enough as the Terriers lost to host Stony Brook, 161-131, on Saturday, Dec. 4.
Senior Emily Moreno (Oakland, NJ) led the way for the Terriers with an impressive showing en route to a pair of first-place finishes. She captured both the 100 and 200 fly with times of 1:02.22 and 2:17.66, respectively.
Another individual winner was sophomore Lauren Cammisano (Hinsdale, IL) who hung on to win the 1000 free at a time of 11:18.40.
In the 200 backstroke, sophomore Selina Herdman (Melville, NY) captured second-place in a time of 2:19.55, while senior Lauren Foster (Lake Quivira, KS) placed second in both the 200 free and 400 IM. She was clocked in 2:00.39 in the 200 and 4:47.92 in the 400.
The women's diving squad also performed well. Freshmen Megan White (Falmouth, MA) and Brooks Wallace (Duxbury, MA) had impressive meets yet again for the Terriers. Wallace took first in the one-meter with 246.00 points and second in the three-meter, collecting 226.95 points. In the meantime, White won the three-meter dive and was third at one meter. En route to winning the former, she accumulated a total of 261.83 points while she had 227.85 points in the latter.
Rounding out the list of top performers for the women were freshman Elizabeth Ariazi (Adams, MA) and junior Natalie Boyd (Pittsburgh, PA). Ariazi placed second in the 100 backstroke in 1:04.07, while Boyd also took second in the 500 free at 5:26.08
